LGB - TEUTóPOLIS, EL JUEGO ORIGINAL

Les Grands Batisseurs es una simplificación de Teutópolis, un juego originalmente publicado por Jean du Poel en su propia editorial Historien Spielegalerie.

En la BGG, el 17 de abril de 2005, un afortunado usuario comenta que se ha comprado un Teutópolis después de jugar a Les Grands Batisseurs y que está alucinado con las diferencias:
- La caja es un tubo de cartón.
- Cada ficha de edificio es diferente, no hay dos iguales.
- Hay iglesias y catedrales, no solo iglesias.
- 25 fichas representan edificios medievales famosos en Alemania. En las instrucciones se identifican y explica la historia de cada uno.
- Las monedas son de metal.

En el apartado de reglas comenta que:
- No hay escudos en los edificios
- El subastador no cobra por el edificio vendido
- Hay tres tipos de subasta: descubierta, cubierta después de mirarla y cubierta sin mirarla...

Vaya, que le pegaron un buen meneo los de Kosmos y que si el resultado es bueno, el original también promete mucho.

Picado por esta reseña, he estado dando vueltas por la red y finalmente he localizado una imagen del Teutópolis:

No sé suficiente alemán (+/- = 0), pero podría ser que lo estuvieran vendiendo por 84 €? Si es así hasta me lo pensaría por pura ansia coleccionista 

Venden un Teutòpolis?

Aquí os dejo la reseña de la que os hablaba en inglés por si queréis sacarle más jugo:

"I recently purchased the original version of this game - TEUTOPOLIS, published by Historien Spielegalerie. There were more differences between this early version and the Kosmos release than I expected. Here are the differences I note:

Package: Teutopolis comes in a tube about the size that a fifth of whisky comes in - just a bit smaller.

Tiles; The tiles are silkscreened with brown ink. Every single tile is different. 25 of them are representations of historic buildings in Germany. (There is a key to where the building are.)

Other components: No privacy shields are included, The coins are real metal. The die is hand decorated and not as big as the Kosmos die.

Rules: Lots of differences!

Teutopolis is rated as a game for 2-5, vs. the 3-4 for the Kosmos edition.

Players must build their cities to a certain point total. The first one to do so wins. To initially build, a player must build a city with one corner tower, and a point value of at least 50% of the stated goal.

The auctioneer does not get paid in this game! All payments go back to the common pool.

On your turn you have two phases. Either phase can be done first. In the main phase you can auction a building OR collect taxes.

If you collect taxes, you have a choice. You may roll the die, as usual, or you may just claim 2 coins.

If you auction a building you have THREE choices. Auction the face-up property (you need not bid). Auction the topmost face-down property after sneaking a peek (you must bid). OR auction the topmost face-down card without peeking at it (you must bid).

For the minor phase you do other activities such as lay out buildings, use a bomb, or vote to bury an unpopular tile from the face-up stack.

It is also possible to sell unwanted tiles from your hand to the other players. If no one wants it, you can pay the face value to bury it under the tile stack.

The bomb is a variant in Teutopolis. There are no shields on towers. If you use the bomb variant, you simply get a bomb when a 1 is rolled. You can use it on any city tile played to the table, so long as you have a city started before yourself.

City gates give no income in Teutopolis.

There are cathedrals and churches in Teutopolis. Only one cathedral may be played in a city.

Generally whoever finishes his city first wins. But final scoring is also included. This is used to score a series of games.


I have not played this version of the game yet. It would seem to be substantively different than the Kosmos version of the game. Whether it is superior or inferior, I am uncertain.

Buenas. En principio lo que puedes hacer es una reserva a ese precio (84€), aunque pone que es sin compromiso, y en cuanto lo tengan disponible, te avisarían para confirmar que sigues interesado y cuánto saldría el precio final.

Admiten tarjeta de crédito y veo que los gastos de envío serían los siguientes:
The delivery costs depend on distance and weight, for instance, to Austria, Netherlands (and most other European countries) the cost will be: 1-2 Kilos = 12 EUR, 3-5 Kilos = 13 EUR, 6-7 Kilos = 14 EUR, 8-10 Kilos = 15 EUR, etc.

Por cierto, la tienda está en Essen, así que siempre puede pasarse alguien que vaya por allí

Se supone que es Lt. Goose, por lo de Lieutenant, pero vamos, que con Goose a secas valdría

Viene de mis inicios con los juegos de ordenador, donde impresionaba apodarse Lt. Goose - the wonder-worker... (o al menos eso creía). Ahora se me queda un poco grande el sobrenombre, la verdad.
