Cita de: (from CSW) [Ricky] Hi, Ben. Does this look good to you?
XO can give orders to 1st Sgt (activate orders excluded) and to units attached to 1st Sgt;
1st Sgt cannot give orders to XO, nor to units attached to XO;
1st SGT and XO may issue commands (activate orders excluded) to Plt HQ's and to units attached to Plt HQ's;
Only HQ's can perform "activate" orders as in 4.2.1.a. Staff units may not;
The CO HQ can issue commands to everyone;
[Ben] Units are not attached to the XO or 1stSgt in the way they are attached to Platoons. The XO and 1stSgt are extensions of the COHQ. It is common to associated units from the CO HQ Section like the .50 Cal or the Mortar Section with one or the other, but the command relationship is not exclusive. So the XO and 1stSgt can order anyone in the CO HQ group. The only exception is the 1stSgt cannot command the XO due to rank.
