"We decided to do all this work not just because of the digital version. Simultaneously, we plan to work on a new edition of the physical board game that will feature similar improvements. Both versions will be released once we are satisfied with them. Currently we expect that this will happen next year, so you can expect the new version of the board game at Essen 2015."
Eagle Games will be joining CGE as the publishing partner for the fourth edition of Through The Ages, and we will continue to support the third edition for present and future owners of the game. Our current Kickstarter project for Through the Ages will fund the final reprint of TtA until CGE tells us they are ready to proceed with the new edition in late 2015.We believe the current Kickstarter project remains the best opportunity to own a copy of Through the Ages at a great price while we wait to receive more information about the fourth edition. In support of the third edition, we will provide for any fourth edition adaptations as best we can. Prospectively, this would include offering inexpensive change packs that cover any altered or new cards introduced in the fourth edition. We want to thank all our supporters and fans of this great game, and to extend a hearty thanks to CGE for clearing up the status of a possible reprint of Through the Ages in the future.Best regards--Rick Soued, CEO, Eagle Games
1) Presently, the changes that are contemplated to the board game are primarily related to graphics and components;2) There may be some additional cards added, but that is uncertain at this time;3) There will be no new edition of Through the Ages until at least late in 2015 (the Essen fair is typically the third week in October).Eagle Games is happy with the support of this present Kickstarter and will reprint this third edition of TTA. We do not plan to do any additional reprints of Through the Ages after this, until CGE tells us they are ready to proceed with the new edition in late 2015. This means that we may sell out of the English version of TTA in later 2014 or early 2015.We cannot say right now what the MSRP of the new edition will be but it is very likely that it will be more expensive to produce, and thus this is likely the last time you will be seeing this game priced this reasonably. We believe this is your best opportunity to own a copy of Through the Ages at a great price while it is still available. In recognition of your great support I am thinking about adding some further free games as stretch goals at $50,000 and $70,000. I am also considering adding Roll Through the Ages: The Iron Age as an Add-On in the near future as well. Your feedback on these possibilities would be welcome. Thanks to our Backers for their support of this Kickstarter. And thanks very much to CGE for clearing up the status of a possible reprint of Through the Ages in the future.Best regards--Rick Soued, CEO, Eagle Games
¡Imposible!
